Mayor Mary Marvin
Welcome to Bronxville a Village described by preservationists as “endlessly copied but never matched”.
As Mayor for 14 years and in Bronxville government for a quarter of a century, my goal has been to retain all the beauty and history of the Village while offering modern services and amenities, all while trying to keep the Village an affordable alternative for those looking to call it home. A graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Pennsylvania, I have enjoyed government as a noble profession since working for Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller. I see myself as a steward and preservationist of one of the Country’s most unique municipalities.
Board of Trustees
The Village of Bronxville is governed by a five member Board of Trustees.
The Board consists of a Mayor and four Trustees. The Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the Village and is responsible for the conduct of public meetings and certain appointments. The Mayor and Trustees all have one equal vote for the adoption of resolutions.
Board of Trustees meetings are held on the second Monday of every month except August. The meetings take place in the Trustees Room at Village Hall. Work sessions commence at 6:30 p.m. and meetings commence at 8:00 p.m.
“I am serving as a trustee for a second time, my first was from 2006-2012. I have an M.B.A. in finance and am retired from the investment management business. Previously, my community service included being president of the Community Fund of BET and president of Bronxville School Foundation. I am married to Maureen Barton and have three children who each graduated from the Bronxville School. I have a particular interest in public works and keeping Bronxville beautiful.”
Mark J. Wood
"Welcome to Bronxville! As residents we are all fortunate to live in such an appealing, enduring and safe community. As a trustee my goal is to responsibly serve the needs of our loyal residents and support our dedicated Village staff, ensuring our great live, grow, work and play environment is vibrant, fiscally sound and remains positioned for success for its next hundred years. This includes preservation and enhancement of our special community features alongside sustainable growth initiatives."
