Review: I did like the book, but Leo keeps making a daydream into a play of some sort and you sometimes can’t tell if he is daydreaming or not.

Review: The main reason why I liked the book was it gave hardy details around what really happened in Sudan. The story was sad (bad part), but it gave vivid images to the reader of what kind of suffering he experienced. The main character was a strong man and even today, and there were lots of surprises.

Review: The graphic novel had scenes that were pretty gruesome and I would not recommend it to little kids at all. It does have a great point, but like it was a little complicated. I liked the plot, how life may come to pauses.

Review: The book was mainly about friendship between two girls who destined to be like sisters, as time passes, betrayal rose. I was disappointed when one of the main characters had a misunderstanding and left the other. It was sad. I am reading Saving Fish from Drowning. It is not similar but has a strong plot.

Review: The situation, I thought personally was a little disturbing. Why a little boy would do such a thing, but after reading the book, I understand what was really happening in Afghanistan due to the Taliban invasion. The characters were believable, every detail of them. In some parts of the book, it was ironic.

Review: The book itself was scary. I couldn’t believe that the life of a little boy could be so disturbing. I thought that the book was fiction and thought who would make a story like this, but it was true and I couldn’t believe it. Kids under 13 should not read it because it’s disturbing.

Review: The story was so realistic. A Korean girl coming to America for the first time from Korea to start a new life. I thought that the main character was so real, it could happen to a lot of people. The book was ironic in some ways. The ending surprised me, never thought that the main character would witness domestic violence right in front of her eyes.
