Bronxville Home Page

The Children's Room of the Bronxville Public Library serves the community by providing books, materials and programs for children from birth through grade six. From board books to chapter books; from picture books to non-fiction, the Children's Room collection is constantly expanding and seeks to meet the needs of all young library users. All our programs except for movies require registration one week prior to the program date in person. You may sign up at the Library in the Children's Room. Our Children's Librarian, Laura Eckley will be happy to help you sign up for programs as well as introduce you to our ever-growing and vital collection.

SLIDESHOWS

If you want to sign up for any of our programs, you must do so in person one week prior to the program. All our Children's Room programs, except for Friday films require registration. Infant Programs Designed for babies from birth through two years, our programs for babies are divided into two sessions: lap babies and "wonderful ones" for babies who are walking. Scheduled on Monday mornings, they are filled with music, rhymes and books.

Toddler Programs

Our programs for our "Terrific Twos" are the next step for your toddler before preschool story time. Two year olds are treated to slightly longer stories, songs, movement and lots of fun. These programs are usually scheduled for Wednesday mornings. Click here for schedule.

Preschool Story Time

Designed for children ages 3-5, preschool story time uses picture books, stories, rhymes, flannel boards and songs to enhance children's pre-literacy and listening skills and to have lots of fun. This story time is usually scheduled for Thursday afternoons. Click here for schedule.

Craft Programs

Our craft programs are designed for both younger, ages 3-5 and older children, kindergarten and up. Miss Erin loves crafts and wants to share them with your child. Check the schedule for craft programs scheduled each month. Click here for schedule.
