Only sixteen miles to the heart of Manhattan, and less than 30 minutes by rail, we are also convenient to every major area highway and four major bus routes stop in multiple locations in our downtown. We also have 2,300 parking spaces in or near our central business district.
◊ Our population of 6,500 lives in 2,300 households comprised of single family homes (60%) and co-ops, condos and apartments (40%). Both the average education level and income of our residents rank near the top in every national survey. Most residents work in the fields of finance, real estate, insurance and medicine.
◊ Many Village homes have great historical significance and the average single family home price is currently $1.94 million.
◊ We are home to Lawrence Hospital, affiliated with Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center; Concordia College is located within our Village and Sarah Lawrence College sits on our western border.
